There is no better way to ensure that Arnold Lodge School is the right school for your child than meeting our current pupils and finding out what makes our school an inspiring, nurturing and exciting environment.
Once you have decided that Arnold Lodge School is the best place for your child, we can then start the admissions process. Whether the child is joining into Reception, Year 3, Year 7 or thinking about entering our Sixth Form at 16+, our Admissions Team will help you through every step. Please call us and will be able to send you any information that you need.
Arnold Lodge is a selective school but, rather than focusing on attainment or narrow 11+ style examinations, we focus on the potential of the pupils and on their wider skills and abilities. Entrance assessments are taken for Year 3 and Year 7.
Entry to Arnold Lodge
Arnold Lodge is a selective independent school (from Year 3) and admissions are considered on the basis of an interview, school report and set of assessments which look for the potential of your child. The assessments are not intimidating and completed in a friendly environment; our focus is on the value we can add to your child’s education – not just their academic attainment to date. We accept pupils into all year groups but our main points of entry are Reception, Year 3, Year 7 and Year 12.
Entry for GCSE and 6th Form
If pupils join us later on in their school career (from Year 10 onwards), our principles stay the same; we accept pupils on how much value we can add to their education.
When a pupil joins us at this stage, we will make sure that our curriculum reflects their needs whether this is taking a full set of GCSEs while pushing for 10 A* grades or a shortened course to support achieving 5 GCSEs at C grade.
For Sixth Form, we will help new starters to decide on the right course for them. With a breadth of A level options and BTEC subjects, we can cater to a wide range of interests and needs. Please see our Senior School and Sixth Form sections for more information.
