Little Lodge Nursery is a safe and nourishing environment where our youngest children are given the best possible introduction to learning. They are encouraged to explore and enjoy the delights of the world around them, while also gaining the skills and knowledge to prepare them for starting school.
We provide a happy and secure family atmosphere where each child can grow personally and socially, as well as academically. Pupils are valued members of a small community, in which their help and collaboration is encouraged and appreciated. They learn to care for others with kindness and gentleness.
Small class sizes and our experienced, enthusiastic staff ensure each pupil is given the best opportunity to reach their full potential through praise, respect and positive attitudes. Our days are well structured, filled with a range of exciting and interesting activities to encourage young pupils to become independent and inquisitive learners.
Little Lodge Nursery is located within facilities specifically designed to meet the early years foundation stage statutory requirements and is made up of a selection of rooms. Our flexible layout gives teachers the freedom to run different activities with small groups throughout the day. The children also have the use of a well-equipped gym, outside play area as well as designated exclusive use of whole school facilities.
Little Lodge Nursery plays an integral role in life at Arnold Lodge School. The children participate in assemblies and make regular visits to the Reception class, helping to prepare them for that next step. Parents have the opportunity to discuss their child’s development and successes informally at the end of each session, with more formal consultations held periodically throughout the year.
Little Lodgers are welcomed to the nursery from the term of their third birthday. Parents are offered a choice of sessions for their child which best suit their working patterns, family life and their child’s unique needs. Our fees are extremely competitive and we allow parents to utilise the NEF grant to help to keep childcare affordable.
